  Develope images to a 'live'-form

An idea always starts with images in someones mind, but these images need a lot of work to make them become alive on stage. In terms of a story, an image catches just one moment, one incident or one behavior in a certain situation.

A mask has to serve all situations of a story, and what you see should tell something specific about the charakter it represents.
Technically this means: if you turn the head, it shows a different face, a different emotion.

And in philosophical terms: things don't lie - a piece of wood cannot betrail, and everybody knows that.

So if it looks like a face, you simply trust your eyes, and reffer to its expressions like a child. And if you manipulate such a piece of wood or clay you become aware that people watching trust their eyes, become an audience, and same as you reffer to its expessions like a child - and they look forward to what you are doing and listen to your story.

This workshop is not about creating masterpeices of art, allthough it sometimes happens.
It is about realising ideas and learn about means and methods to do so.
